Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides efficient and cost-effective office support operations to the New York Power Authority (NYPA) enterprise. This role ensures NYPA information assets are protected, accessible, and support business needs.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will:
- Assist with moderately complex and varied administrative tasks.
- Collect and format data to create presentations and reports.
- Support managers and staff with scheduling, document preparation, and meeting materials.
- Coordinate projects, track timelines, and prepare project reports.
- Conduct research on quantitative and qualitative business issues.
- Plan logistics, agendas, and coordinate meetings.

- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective time management and ability to handle multiple projects
- Analytical, quantitative, and research skills
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to observe confidentiality
- Proficiency with software and computer tasks
Education, Experience, and Certifications
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a minimum of 2 years experience preferred. Additional certifications may be required to meet industry regulations.
Physical Requirements
Up to 10% travel primarily within New York State. Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods is required.
Compensation and Diversity
