Job Mission:

New Balance seeks a Quality Engineer with a passion for AI and modern testing practices to join one of their global eCommerce scrum teams. In this role, you'll work hands-on with an AI-driven test automation platform to validate digital commerce experiences and retail store tools.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Execute and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and an AI-driven platform.
  • Write test cases using Gherkin syntax in C# and JavaScript with tools like GitHub Copilot.
  • Perform AI-assisted exploratory testing to detect edge cases and regressions.
  • Utilize Applitools Eyes for visual validation across web and in-store experiences.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to create maintainable test scenarios.
  • Validate omni-channel workflows for eCommerce and retail systems.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineers across scrum teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Advocate for AI testing practices to enhance test design and automation.

Requirements for Success:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation.
  • Proficiency in C# and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Selenium, Gherkin, and BDD frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and exploratory techniques.
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools.
  • Knowledge of visual testing tools such as Applitools Eyes.
  • Understanding of functional, integration, and end-to-end testing in omni-channel retail.
  • Ability to collaborate in a SAFe agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a quality-first mindset.
