Overview

New American Funding is seeking a VOE Specialist to support the Processing Department in a remote U.S. position. The role involves contacting current and previous employers of borrowers to verify employment before pre-approving home purchase loans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Call HR departments to verify employment.
  • Conduct written and verbal employment verifications.
  • Manage verification calls across multiple time zones.
  • Complete approximately 50 VOEs daily.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1 or more years in mortgage operations (Loan Processor, Jr. Processor, Loan Setup, or Loan Officer Assistant).
  • Familiarity with written employment verifications.
  • High school diploma or GED required; 1-2 years of mortgage loan experience preferred.
  • Recent customer service or sales experience is an asset.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to lift up to ten pounds and perform repetitive tasks in an office setting. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting are necessary to operate office equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals.
