The private equity group, NB Private Markets, is a significant investor in private markets, managing over $125 billion. The PIPCO platform within NB Private Markets manages commingled funds and custom portfolios, including primaries, co-investments, and secondaries across various strategies like buyout, venture, infrastructure, and impact investments.

The PIPCO Marketing/Fundraising Group is responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies for the PIPCO platform and individual fund offerings. This group is integral to the entire lifecycle of PIPCO funds, from formation and fundraising to ongoing investor communications.

Position Overview

The team is seeking a junior Analyst to support the PIPCO team with non-investment activities. This role involves close collaboration with investment, marketing, sales, legal, finance, and operations teams to meet investor needs. The Analyst will initially work as a generalist across all PIPCO products, with opportunities for specialization as their career progresses.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing fundraising processes.
  • Support product specialists within the PIPCO Marketing/Fundraising Group as a generalist.
  • Manage capital formation activities, including drafting legal documents, launching datarooms, and creating marketing materials.
  • Liaise with portfolio managers, sales, legal, finance, and operations to deliver materials, respond to RFPs, manage prospect follow-ups, and address client inquiries.
  • Track fundraising pipeline and activity across distribution channels.
  • Update fund marketing materials and ongoing prospect communications.
  • Provide sales teams with necessary tools, content, customized materials, and product education.
  • Collaborate with investment teams on internal and external communications during fundraising.
  • Perform quantitative analyses and research, managing data files for private markets marketing.
  • Serve as a resource for Neuberger Berman sales teams on PIPCO matters.
  • Handle logistics for fund closes, coordinating with sales, legal, subscription, and clients.
  • Organize and coordinate onsite meetings for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date product information on third-party databases.
  • Manage internal PIPCO platform data.
  • Track and maintain underlying LP information, including commitments and program status.
  • Track investment activity, deal flow, and performance across strategies and the aggregate platform.
  • Help manage public exposure for the platform through annual meetings, industry conferences, databases, and seminars.

  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution with excellent academic credentials.
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in Private Markets or Investment Banking.
  • Must exhibit a team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects effectively.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000. This range is specific to the job posting location and may be adjusted based on various factors including education, experience, skills, location, and performance. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, forms a comprehensive total compensation package. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and more.
