Overview

The Client Associate at Neuberger Berman serves as a primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients, addressing operational support and client service needs. This role includes handling inquiries related to new accounts, LOAs, account updates, funds disbursements, charitable gifting, account performance, trade activity, asset transfers, statement inquiries, objective changes, portfolio market values, stock quotes, and online access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage account maintenance tasks including checks, wires, RMDs, and account updates.
  • Initiate new account openings and assist clients with documentation and asset transfers.
  • Act as a liaison between Portfolio Managers, Trading, Operations, and clients.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, electronic filing, and expense reports.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives including mass mailings, quarterly commentary, Salesforce campaigns and client event logistics.
  • Prepare presentation materials, ad hoc reports, and compile oversight reporting.
  • Utilize Salesforce and Outlook for client relationship management and record keeping.
  • Review and process quarterly billing and account receivables adjustments.

Experience and Skills

Required certifications include SIE, Series 7 and 66 (or ability to obtain them). Candidates should have 2-4 years of client service or support experience in financial services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) is necessary while Salesforce experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required along with the ability to work independently, manage confidential information, and meet deadlines.
