Role Description: High School Climate Advocate Intern
This is a part-time, remote role for a High School Climate Advocate Intern. In this position, you will engage with peers and community members to raise awareness about climate change and sustainability. You will collaborate on educational campaigns, assist in developing and distributing climate-related materials, and participate in advocacy efforts. Additionally, you will support content creation for social media and events to promote environmentally conscious practices. Your role will involve both teamwork and self-motivated initiatives to drive climate action in your school and beyond.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication for advocacy and outreach
- Passion for climate change, sustainability, and environmental justice
- Creativity and teamwork skills for campaign development and collaboration
- Basic social media management and content creation skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
- Enthusiasm for empowering peers and initiating youth-focused climate initiatives
- Prior experience in a leadership or community engagement role is a plus
