Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials and equipment essential to construction projects across the United States. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics, including freight forwarding, dispatching, warehousing, and international shipping, to meet project timelines and budget requirements. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, transportation providers, warehouse personnel, and project managers to optimize supply chain operations and resolve any logistical challenges promptly. By managing purchase orders and overseeing shipping and receiving processes, the Logistics Coordinator ensures that all materials are accurately tracked and delivered to the correct locations. Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall success of construction projects by maintaining a reliable and cost-effective logistics framework.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the transportation and delivery of construction materials and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective freight forwarding and dispatching.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, and shipping and receiving activities to maintain accurate stock levels and efficient workflows.
- Collaborate with international logistics partners to facilitate cross-border shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and timely delivery.
- Process and manage purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and vendors to confirm order accuracy and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and resolve any logistical issues or delays, communicating proactively with project teams to minimize impact on construction timelines.

Education And Experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a coordination or support role.
- A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven knowledge of logistics management, freight forwarding, dispatching, and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with international shipping procedures and customs documentation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight 50 lbs
- Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.
