QA Automation Engineer at Netsmart

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation using tools like Selenium, API validation/testing, and experience with various architectural frameworks. This role involves creating, maintaining, and executing robust automated testing frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Automation Framework and Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain modular, extensible, and reusable test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Set up, configure, and maintain the automation environment and data.
• Develop and execute automated performance test scripts to validate system stability and responsiveness.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive test automation library for thorough coverage.

Testing and Validation

• Assist in functional, regression, and integration testing using both manual and automated approaches.
• Validate Mobile, Web and APIs using appropriate testing tools.
• Identify, report, and track product defects with clear documentation.

Collaboration and Process Improvement

• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on requirements and automation feasibility.
• Write, review, and verify test plans and procedures for evaluations.
• Estimate testing timelines and work toward on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality standards.

Operational Excellence

• Provide feedback to improve the quality assurance process and methodology.
• Stay updated with the latest automation tools and best practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical testing needs.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• 2-4 years experience in developing and executing automated software scripts.
• 1+ year experience in writing and executing manual test cases and plans.
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance standards, practices, and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS selectors and API testing tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies and structured delivery processes.
• Experience with Appium for mobile test automation and scripting in JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web, PC, and mobile applications built using Java, .NET, and Linux.
• Good knowledge of database configurations and integration testing.
• Understanding of web object identification methods (e.g., XPath).
