About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Supervisor Technical Support Manager to join our Facility Maintenance (FM) team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. This pivotal role involves providing electrical oversight for work performed by craft Electricians, supervising and mentoring both non-exempt and represented personnel within the FM subdivision. The successful candidate will coordinate electrical work tasks across the laboratory, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires active participation in emergency response activities, as well as a commitment to developing and maintaining the FM subdivision’s training programs. The Supervisor will work closely with stakeholders and customers across the laboratory to deliver electrical projects and maintenance activities on schedule, supporting the organization’s mission of nuclear safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum requirement. Preferred candidates will have current or previous qualifications as an Electrical Worker, LOTO Supervisor, Asbestos Competent Person, and Asbestos Building Inspector. Demonstrated experience in electrical systems, safety protocols, and supervisory roles is highly desirable. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates must meet the necessary security and background requirements, including eligibility for access to classified information, and be able to pass a drug test in accordance with company policies. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for all applicants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and develop craft Electricians and other personnel within the Facility Maintenance subdivision, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Provide electrical oversight and technical guidance for maintenance, repair, and installation activities across the laboratory facilities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and customers to plan, prioritize, and execute electrical work tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, asbestos management, and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate actively in emergency response efforts, serving in designated roles to support safety and incident management.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the Facility Maintenance training program, promoting skill enhancement and safety awareness among team members.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and best practices, maintaining documentation and records as required.
• Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities to optimize resource utilization and minimize operational disruptions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, and reliability of facility operations.
