Overview of the Events Manager, Senior Role at NetJets

The Events Manager, Senior plays a crucial role within a dynamic team, executing over 150+ customer, prospect, and internal events annually. These events are pivotal for customer retention, prospect acquisition, and enhancing the bond between employees and the company. You will be accountable for the entire event process, from conceptualization and facilitation to execution and debriefing, for high-profile events ranging from 25 to over 1000 guests.
Day-to-day responsibilities include meticulous management of individual event budgets, defining requirements for invitations, on-site branding, food and beverage, rentals, venue design, décor, entertainment, and security. Ensuring flawless event execution is paramount. This role is also the lead in site and vendor selection, contract negotiations, alliance partner coordination, and program development. The ideal candidate can skillfully analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and implement recommendations to meet event objectives and timelines, both pre-event and on-site. The position requires presentation of event plans to leadership, comprehensive event tracking, review, and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Fostering strong relationships with key internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors is critical, as is providing timely, customer-focused, and professional responses. The Events Manager, Senior will regularly interface with Sales, Owner Services, Procurement, Legal, and Company leadership, ensuring event budgeting, strategy, and goals align with organizational objectives. This position requires approximately 35% travel to events nationwide.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Execute event goals, objectives, and specific implementation plans that promote the NetJets, Inc. brand and its subsidiaries.
- Lead and debrief the largest, most high-profile planned events, maintaining a constant focus on budget parameters and cost-saving opportunities.
- Serve as the lead for site and vendor selection, contract negotiations, alliance partner coordination, and program development.
- Identify opportunities, potential conflicts, and other issues critical to the successful execution of events, facilitating proactive solutions.
- Execute on-site event coordination, collaborating closely with the Sales team and NetJets Leadership participants.
- Ensure meticulous on-site budget management and flawless event execution.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality is required, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
