The Team

Our Social Marketing team integrates the Netflix experience into social platforms, sparking conversations about our brand, titles, and talent. In this role, you won't just curate and oversee content; you'll drive the strategic direction, focusing on data-driven insights to engage our audience across the Vertical Video Feed.

The Opportunity

The Vertical Video Manager will be an integral member of the Social Marketing Team, playing the important role of connecting the Social Marketing and Product teams. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, incredibly collaborative person who is deeply immersed in every social platform, is uniquely fascinated with building out new ways to consume content, and knows the importance of using data to inform strategy.

This job will require you to wear many hats while juggling short and long term projects — but above all, you must have impeccable taste, sterling organizational skills, and the passion, energy, and creative ambition to see it all through.

This position reports to the Director, Social Marketing (Platforms) based in Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities of a Vertical Video Manager

  • Serve as the vital connective tissue between the Social and Product teams.
  • Collaborate on content creation, serve as a creative partner on new ideas using innovative approaches to format, structure and presentation to encourage our members to engage.
  • Curate existing content and use data to inform future content creation.
  • Work with Operations to build asset delivery workflows from the ground up.
  • Manage internal and agency resources to execute content creation at every stage from ideation through production and distribution.
  • Use internal data to inform strategy, iterate creative, and constantly learn to improve and optimize future campaigns, emphasizing analytical and data-driven approaches.

Background and Specific Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in a social or digital marketing role, with experience in building out multi-channel distribution efforts.
  • Adept at creating engaging AV content that resonates with audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to apply data-centric approaches to content testing and optimization.
  • Able to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across many internal cross functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.
  • Respect, understanding, and enthusiasm for Netflix culture.

Compensation & Benefits

Netflix's compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, without bonuses. You have the flexibility to choose how much of your compensation is allocated to salary versus stock options. Compensation is determined by market indicators, your job family, background, skills, and experience within a market range. The estimated range for this role is $177,000.00 - $306,000.00.

Comprehensive benefits include Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. Paid leave of absence programs are also offered. Full-time hourly employees receive 35 days annually for paid time off, while full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off. More details on benefits are available here.
