The Opportunity
Netflix's AI for Member Systems (AIMS) organization is responsible for developing and operating AI systems powering recommendations, personalization, search, discovery, and messaging. The AI Applications organization focuses on evolving AI-driven member experiences across multiple product surfaces. As Netflix expands into new content types and GenAI-powered experiences, a dedicated Technical Program Manager is needed to drive cross-cutting programs across multiple teams and content verticals.
What You'll Do
- Drive cross-team AI programs including AI models, infrastructure, experimentation, and product integration.
- Own planning and execution by defining milestones and managing dependencies.
- Navigate ambiguity in evolving technical and product landscapes.
- Manage complex stakeholder maps across engineering, applied science, and product teams.
- Establish operational excellence with lightweight program rituals.
- Bridge product and infrastructure for seamless AI capability integration.
- Communicate clearly through status updates and decision documents.
What We're Looking For
- 6–8+ years in technical program management or equivalent roles.
- Experience working at scale in engineering organizations.
- Expert stakeholder management across engineering, science, and product teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort engaging with technical teams and understanding system-level trade-offs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI/ML systems including recommender systems and LLM/GenAI.
- Experience in consumer-scale, AI-driven product companies.
- Exposure to launching new content verticals and navigating ambiguous product spaces.
- Experience with LLM post-training methods and central ranking teams.
- Ability to work autonomously while building lightweight structures.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this role is approximately $290,000 to $460,000, with flexibility to choose compensation mix. Comprehensive benefits are provided including health plans, mental health support, a 401(k) plan with employer match, stock options, and paid time off.
