Roles within TVUI Engineering

We are hiring for multiple Software Engineer, TVUI Engineering roles across our TV teams, spanning product innovation and the architecture and capabilities powering product features:

  • Product Engineer: Delivers novel product features on consumer-facing Netflix experiences to help members discover and connect with stories. Partners with designers and product managers to define concepts that will shape the future of entertainment, delighting millions globally across various devices.
  • Core Engineer: Responsible for building client and UI capabilities and shepherding the architecture of our member apps. These teams accelerate innovation, enabling product teams to deliver rich, performant, reliable, accessible, and high-quality member experiences. They integrate core technologies, frameworks, and building blocks to thrill members.
  • Ads Engineer: Develops and delivers the platform for innovative ad experiences to unlock significant revenue growth. This includes building a flexible framework for customizable, engaging creative formats and supporting server-side ad delivery in streaming content, expanding to interactive and video formats.

Who You Are

  • Experience designing, building, and shipping consumer-facing software.
  • Experience leading projects and communicating with multiple cross-functional partners.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Able to design, architect, debug, test, and create well-documented code.
  • Able to identify and componentize common abstractions with an eye for performance and stability of large-scale systems.
  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.

Compensation and Benefits

Netflix's compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, with no bonuses. You choose annually how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. Compensation is determined by market indicators, job family, background, skills, and experience. The salary range for a Software Engineer, TVUI Engineering is $388,000.00 - $558,000.00, which will vary based on location. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. Paid leave of absence programs are also offered. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off; full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
