Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer, Games Platform Quality who possesses a deep understanding of the games industry testing and tooling. The ideal candidate adapts quickly to new information, switches context efficiently, and constantly drives issues to resolution. You should be experienced across various technologies, with a strong focus on TypeScript, Javascript, and React, and familiarity with Mobile WebView / JS Bridge. Experience with mobile engineering (Android: Kotlin, Java, or iOS: Swift UI & Objective-C) is also valued. This role requires an expert in multi-device testing, capable of building controller test frameworks and tools to verify complex architectural components. You are a product testing expert, skilled at systematically identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with developers for resolution. As a self-starter, you proactively question the status quo and drive process improvements to enhance testing, debugging, and release cycle efficiency. Exceptional collaboration skills are essential for bridging communication between cross-functional teams and aligning manual QA with core engineering.

What You Will Do

• Define and champion the overall long-term testing strategy and quality roadmap for the Games Platform.
• Drive the design and implementation of test infrastructure, automation tests, and the necessary tools to support automation.
• Debug issues using a variety of tools, identifying root causes through close partnership with internal teams contributing to the end-to-end product flow.
• Improve release predictability and confidence by optimizing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Manually test new features and integration points that are challenging to automate, collaborating with manual QA vendors for exploratory tests.
• Gather and analyze operational data to gain insights on how to improve test stability, performance, and developer engagement.

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity3D, and Defold.
• Experience working with cloud gaming platforms and TV testing.
• Comfortable working across multiple gaming platforms, including web, mobile, and console.

Compensation and Benefits

Netflix offers a competitive compensation structure consisting solely of an annual salary, with the flexibility to choose between salary and stock options. The compensation range for this role is $266,000.00 - $442,000.00, varying by location. Comprehensive benefits include Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. Paid leave of absence programs are also provided. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
