This role offers a tremendous opportunity for leadership and impact within Netflix's new advertising venture. You will partner with Product, Data Science, Design, Business, and other cross-functional and research teams to understand their insights needs, then develop, execute, and deliver best-in-class quantitative research.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Stakeholders, Design, Product Management, Engineers, Data Scientists) and fellow researchers to develop, lead, execute, and socialize a roadmap of high-impact research initiatives, including both fast-moving product research and long-term strategic business research.

- Manage multiple simultaneous projects at different stages (from ideation to presentation), delivering a steady portfolio of tactical and strategic insights.
Required Qualities
- Comfortable making decisions and recommendations, even with incomplete data.
- A keen ability to identify non-obvious connections and insights.
- Resilient and steadfast in the face of change, uncertainty, and challenge.
- A balanced blend of creative and analytical thinking.
- Both an excellent collaborator and a proactive self-starter.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research, with particular expertise and hands-on experience leading end-to-end quantitative research studies that inform business and product strategy. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Knowledge of relevant statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing, regression/linear models, experimental design, and experience with longitudinal analysis, multilevel/mixed effects modeling, choice-based modeling, psychometrics, etc.
- Ability to triangulate and test relationships between consumer attitudes (e.g., survey questions) and behavioral signals (e.g., product usage logs).
- Development of survey scales and questionnaires suitable for consumer research across global markets, considering local customs, response biases, and reliability of comparisons.
- A balance of creative and analytical skills with the ability to proactively define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings.
- Expertise in programming languages and libraries for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., R, SPSS, Python, MATLAB).
- Very strong communication skills with a bias toward action and business acumen to proactively collaborate with multiple teams across the company.
- Passion about translating findings into actionable strategic business recommendations and maximizing research impact through compelling data visualizations.
- An advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Social sciences, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Advertising or Business research experience is a plus but not required.
