Uncover Hiring Manager

Job Description

Our Mission at Netflix

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

Our Team

The Ads Platform team builds the advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world class content delivery ecosystem. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our members’ viewing experience and drives great outcomes for advertisers.

Our team is new and yet faced with the ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the Connected TV advertising space that’s rapidly growing, we seek to build unique value propositions that differentiate Netflix from other ad-supported streaming services.

We are looking for a Product Manager in the advertising space who is excited to join us on this journey.

About The Role

This Product Manager, Developer Experience (Ads) will own the end-to-end experience for human and agentic developers interacting with Netflix Ads. You will treat our platform (APIs, SDKs, documentation, and sandboxes) as a first-class product.

Your mission is to eliminate friction. You will define the "Golden Path" for internal engineers to ship features faster and build the industry-leading Developer Portal that allows external partners to go from "signup" to "first successful API call" in minutes, not weeks. Crucially, you will ensure our platform is "AI-native," providing the high-quality metadata and schemas necessary for agentic workflows to autonomously interact with our systems.

This Product Manager Will

  • Define the Vision for Ad-Tech Programmability: Create the roadmap for a unified developer ecosystem that serves both internal high-velocity engineering and external partner integrations.
  • Build for the Future (Agentic DevEx): Architect API standards and discovery layers that are optimized for LLMs and autonomous agents, ensuring our infrastructure is ready for the next wave of AI-driven ad management.
  • Launch the Netflix Ads Developer Portal: Own the external-facing hub for documentation, API keys, and self-service onboarding, ensuring it reflects the Netflix brand’s commitment to quality.
  • Empower Through Tooling: Deliver robust SDKs, CLI tools, and sandbox environments that allow developers to test complex ad-tech scenarios safely and instantly.
  • Drive Discovery & Documentation: Move beyond static wikis to create a living, searchable "Source of Truth" for all Ads APIs, including automated "Golden Path" guides for common integration patterns.
  • Measure Success through Speed & Joy: Track and optimize DORA metrics for internal teams, "Time to First Hello World" for external partners, and overall Developer NPS.
  • Community & Convention: Establish and champion ad-tech protocols and conventions that make our platform feel familiar to industry veterans while remaining uniquely Netflix.

We’re Seeking a Candidate Who Has

  • Experience: 10+ years of Product Management experience with a focus on Developer Platforms, API-as-a-Product, or Technical Infrastructure.
  • Domain Acumen: Deep expertise in advertising-oriented protocols (IAB Standards, etc) and the nuances of publisher-side integrations.
  • Community Builder Mindset: A proven track record of building and scaling thriving developer communities or ecosystems.
  • Technical Depth: Comfort with modern system architecture, schema design, and the emerging requirements of LLM-integrated APIs.
  • Empathy-Led Design: A passion for removing "papercuts" in the developer journey and a belief that developer tools should be as intuitive as consumer apps.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $440,000.00 - $725,000.00.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off. See more details about our Benefits here.

Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.
