Data Protection Team
The Privacy & Data Protection Engineering (PDPE) organization ensures responsible data use and guides data privacy through technical excellence. The Data Protection team develops policies and provides insights into Netflix’s data assets to drive right-sized and timely policies.
The Role
The Privacy Engineer will join the Data Protection team to protect all data at Netflix. Working closely with cross-functional teams including security, privacy, software, legal, and leadership, you will design, develop, and maintain data handling guidelines and policies.
- Drive technical strategies for the Data Protection Program.
- Develop detailed technical documentation.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment on privacy improvements.
- Create and update privacy policies and requirements.
- Monitor and report on remediation and error logs.
What You Will Do
- Provide operational, technical, and legal support for data protection.
- Develop and update policies for privacy tools.
- Create reports that assess privacy policy effectiveness.
- Collaborate with business units to improve privacy controls.
- Monitor remediation activities with senior team members.

- Strong understanding of privacy regulations.
- 3+ years in data management and privacy.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
- Ability to translate data risks into scalable controls.
- Proven track record in driving impactful privacy solutions.
