Our Team & Mission

The Ads Platform team at Netflix drives the creation of an advanced advertising ecosystem. The team focuses on sales, media planning, campaign execution, ad serving, audience management, measurement, and financial reporting. They utilize innovative technology such as client and server-side ad insertions, content delivery systems, ad encoding recipes, and metadata to balance member experiences with advertiser outcomes.

Role Overview: Engineering Manager, Ads CRM

This role focuses on empowering a super intelligent ad sales team using AI/ML/genAI techniques aimed at accelerating revenue growth. You will drive success in a fast-paced, flat organization by providing clear vision, prioritization, and fostering executional excellence while embodying the Netflix culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive success and ownership in a minimal process environment.
  • Support team vision and contextualize larger strategic goals.
  • Hire, retain, and grow high-performing engineering talent.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver complex, high-impact projects.
  • Leverage AI/ML/genAI to improve sales team efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in building first party tools, APIs and services for sales workflows.
  • Familiarity with sales/CRM platforms like Salesforce and custom workflows.
  • Proficiency in modern backend and frontend applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, React, GraphQL, Node.js, and AWS.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, NoSQL databases, Kafka, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML/genAI and its application in sales processes.
  • Knowledge of advertising ecosystems including direct IO, programmatic and self-serve channels.
  • 10+ years overall industry experience and 3+ years in engineering management.
  • Strong product mindset with excellent strategic, analytical, and leadership abilities.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with legal compliance and global ads regulations.
  • Experience in ML-driven advertising systems and the CTV space.
  • Knowledge of ads industry standards such as VAST and OpenRTB.

This role offers an annual salary with a flexible structure allowing a mix of salary and stock options, based on market indicators and individual experience.
