Role Overview
The Data Visualization Engineer 5 - Content & Studio role is part of the Tools & Insights team within Data Science & Engineering at Netflix. You will design and develop web applications that merge data storytelling with clear, intuitive visualizations to enhance content reporting and assist decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop beautiful web apps using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Implement data visualizations with frameworks like React or Vue.js and libraries like D3.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to refine user experience.
- Integrate data from APIs and relational databases to tell a compelling data story.
- Continuously iterate on designs informed by user feedback and research.
What You Are
Passionate about building interfaces that simplify complex data. Self-directed and creative, with strong technical skills in front-end frameworks, Node.js, and data visualization libraries. Comfortable using design prototyping tools and working with metrics and analytics teams.
