Job Summary
The Solutions Engineer Strategics Automotive will join a virtual sales team to design and deliver customer-centric solutions. The role involves developing strategic and technical sales relationships with one of the largest automotive customers, executing technical account strategies, securing design wins, and fostering key stakeholder relationships.
Candidate Overview
Customer Obsession: Own and develop key customer technical relationships. Lead efforts to expand customer bases beyond traditional buying centers. Advocate proactively with Product Management and Engineering to align solutions with customer requirements.
Team Selling/Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional and client subsidiary teams to drive sales opportunities. Identify and define design win opportunities while holding virtual technical teams accountable. Act as a trusted advisor through the solution lifecycle.
Technical Curiosity: Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies, including advanced storage, data management, AI, public/hybrid clouds, and NetApp's full portfolio.
Education & Experience
Minimum 5+ years experience in technical selling, systems design, or engineering. Proven expertise in data storage, infrastructure and creation of design win opportunities using AI technologies and hybrid cloud infrastructures. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Compensation & Benefits
The target salary range is 146,200 - 189,200 USD based on On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary and commission. The compensation package is competitive, with comprehensive benefits such as Health, Life, Retirement plans, PTO, volunteer time off, educational assistance, legal services, and more. Specific benefits details will be provided during recruitment.
Work Arrangement
This role is based in Detroit, Michigan and follows a hybrid working environment that combines in-office and in-person expectations.
