Role Overview

The Data Analyst – Risk Models role is part of an IT product team managing the full lifecycle of multiple risk models in a Financial Services environment. This position bridges business, data, and technology by defining, validating, transforming, and testing data requirements to support critical risk functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct As-Is analysis and document functional process flows for risk model data.
• Analyze existing SAS code and End User Computing tools using SQL for data validation.
• Define data requirements and produce BRDs, technical specifications, and mappings.
• Design and document To-Be data processes and datasets.
• Collaborate with development teams to validate implementations and resolve incidents.
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring defect tracking and resolution.

Requirements

Mandatory: Minimum 5 years as a Data Analyst in Financial Services or Banking, strong SQL skills, exposure to SAS for data logic, experience with BRDs and technical specifications, proven UAT coordination, and excellent communication skills.

Nice To Have: Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, BI tools experience, exposure to large-scale transformation programs and data migrations, and a passion for emerging technologies.
