About the role
Lead Compliance and Regulatory Manager
nCino offers exciting career opportunities for individuals who want to join the worldwide leader in cloud banking.
Curious Minds. Bold Ideas. Extraordinary Impact.
We're transforming financial services through bold innovation and relentless execution. You bring the ideas and drive. We'll build what's next — together.
About the Role
At nCino, compliance is not a constraint — it's a competitive advantage. As the Lead Industry Principal for Compliance & Regulatory, you will be the senior regulatory voice within our Sales Excellence team, shaping how nCino engages the EMEA market on one of the most critical dimensions of financial services transformation. Reporting to the Vice President of Partner Ecosystems, Sales Excellence and Growth, EMEA, this is a Principal-level role with genuine influence across the business.
Your mandate spans the full regulatory perimeter of nCino's EMEA portfolio — from Client Lifecycle Management and customer onboarding through commercial lending, mortgage origination, and portfolio monitoring. You will bring authoritative expertise across emerging and evolving regulatory frameworks, including AI-specific regulation such as the EU AI Act and supervisory guidance from financial authorities across the region.
This role sits at the intersection of deep subject matter expertise and commercial impact. You will influence, enable, and inspire — acting as a trusted advisor internally to our Sales, Presales, Marketing, and Partner teams, and as a credible, recognised external voice in the market. If you want to shape how financial services regulation is understood and addressed through technology, this is where you do it.
What You'll Do
- Cultivate executive-level relationships with Heads of Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs at financial institutions across EMEA — articulating how nCino's capabilities address the specific regulatory expectations of each market across the full lending and CLM lifecycle.
- Represent nCino as a credible, recognised voice on EMEA compliance and regulatory matters — participating in industry events, panels, and conferences, and contributing to written content, regulatory briefings, and thought leadership.
- Enable the EMEA sales organisation through structured regulatory coaching, playbook development, and sales asset creation — equipping revenue teams to engage credibly with risk and compliance leaders and navigate regulatory objections.
- Support pipeline generation by working alongside Business Development, Sales, Partners, and Marketing to identify and develop relationships with financial institutions navigating regulatory change or seeking to modernise their compliance infrastructure.
- Align nCino's go-to-market approach for CLM, lending, and portfolio monitoring to the regulatory landscape — contributing to competitive positioning and ensuring a consistent, compelling compliance value proposition across EMEA markets.
- Enable System Integrators and technology partners to understand and address EMEA regulatory requirements through packaged solutions built on nCino's platform, supporting partner enablement and compliant solution design.
- Bring nCino's responsible AI narrative to market by developing deep expertise in the EU AI Act and supervisory guidance from the EBA, ECB, and national authorities on AI use in credit decisioning, risk assessment, and CLM — ensuring customers can engage with nCino's AI capabilities with confidence.
- Serve as the primary commercial voice of EMEA regulatory requirements to nCino's Product team — tracking regulatory change across key jurisdictions, assessing product roadmap implications, and translating compliance complexity into actionable product requirements.
What You'll Need
We're looking for someone who combines deep regulatory expertise with commercial credibility and the ability to connect complex compliance requirements to real technology solutions. You'll bring:
- A background in regulatory compliance, risk management, or financial services technology, with broad and deep knowledge of the EMEA regulatory landscape as it applies to financial institutions — spanning lending, credit risk, customer lifecycle, data governance, and AI adoption.
- Expert-level understanding of key EMEA regulatory frameworks including AMLD, GDPR, MiFID II, the EU AI Act, the Mortgage Credit Directive, and the Consumer Credit Directive, as well as jurisdiction-specific supervisory guidance across the region.
- Demonstrated ability to engage as a peer with Heads of Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs at financial institutions — translating complex regulatory requirements into clear technology and business implications.
- Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority, with excellent communication and presentation skills across both technical and commercial audiences.
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience, supported by a track record of 10+ years in a related field.
You'll Stand Out If You Also Bring
- An advanced degree or professional certification such as ICA, CAMS, or CRCM.
- Experience with CLM, KYC/KYB, lending, or onboarding technology platforms; familiarity with nCino, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, or equivalent enterprise SaaS.
- A track record of public speaking, regulatory commentary, or industry publication authorship.
- Existing relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, or senior compliance leaders across EMEA.
- Experience providing structured regulatory feedback to product or engineering teams.
