Job Description

As the Principal Engineer on the Content Delivery Engineering team within NBCUniversal's Global Video Engineering organization, you will ensure our OTT products and features achieve industry-leading performance at international scale. You will join a dynamic Direct-to-Consumer portfolio that includes Peacock, NOW, Fandango, SkyShowtime, Showmax, and TV Everywhere.

Responsibilities

• Research and drive complex technical debates with architectural and design teams.
• Design content delivery services and be hands-on during execution and delivery.
• Conduct rigorous technical reviews and challenge existing systems and processes.
• Lead technical RFI, RFP, RFQ processes with proof-of-concept designs and measurements.
• Represent NBCUniversal at industry forums and lead teams under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Engineering leadership experience for 3+ years and 10+ years in engineering.
• Track record in global product delivery especially in streaming and content delivery networks.
• Expertise in internet technologies such as TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP/*, DNS & BGP.
• Experience with SRE for safe, reliable technology operations.
• Willingness to travel across the USA and Europe.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

This is a hybrid role based in New York City, USA, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. Salary is between $180,000 and $230,000, with bonus and long-term incentive eligibility along with company-sponsored benefits.
