About the Role
Fandango, part of the iconic entertainment brands, is seeking a visionary Director, Software Engineering to shape the future of its technology platform. In this role, you will lead strategy and execution for API-first products, integrating cutting-edge AI, cloud capabilities, and scalable systems to power partner-focused and white-label solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Drive innovation across Fandango, Fandango at Home, and Rotten Tomatoes.
- Oversee design and evolution of internal APIs and key integrations.
- Architect scalable, cloud-based systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Shape product roadmap in alignment with business strategy.
- Lead and inspire engineering teams while championing security and compliance.
Qualifications
Candidates should have 10+ years of software engineering experience with over 5 years in leadership roles, a strong background in API-first development and distributed systems, and hands-on expertise with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, or Typescript is required along with proven experience in managing multiple engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points
- Experience with large-scale consumer-facing entertainment platforms.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native scaling.
- Exposure to MCP Servers and high availability API platforms.
Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote role with occasional required travel for in-person interviews.
