Role Overview: Director, Software Engineering
Fandango is seeking a visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead the strategy and execution of cutting-edge solutions. You will direct engineering efforts for Fandango, Fandango at Home, and Rotten Tomatoes, while leveraging an API-first approach and integrating modern cloud, AI, and SaaS technologies.

- Drive innovation across iconic brands.
- Own mission-critical integrations and API development.
- Architect scalable, future-ready cloud-based solutions.
- Shape product roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Bridge business and technical requirements to deliver robust platforms.
- Advance AI and machine learning capabilities for predictive insights.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire engineering managers and senior engineers.
- Champion security, compliance, and robust product delivery.
Qualifications
10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles with a strong background in API-first development, integrations, and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Typescript is essential. Proven track record leading multiple engineering teams, fostering diverse and inclusive environments, and partnering with cybersecurity and compliance teams is required. SaaS productization experience and change management skills are a plus.
Additional Information
This is a fully remote role with occasional travel. External candidates might be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of the company's locations. Employment responsibilities may transition to Versant in the future as the spin-off matures.
