About the Role

Fandango is seeking a visionary Director, Software Engineering to shape the next chapter of our technology platform. In this role, you will lead strategy and execution of cutting-edge, API-first solutions and drive innovation across internal and external integrations.

What You'll Do

  • Drive innovation across iconic brands including Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes.
  • Own mission-critical API integrations with studios, global partners, and SaaS providers.
  • Architect scalable, cloud-based systems with a focus on modern technologies.
  • Shape product roadmaps in collaboration with business and product teams.
  • Bridge business and technology with strategic, technical solutions.
  • Create market-ready, API and AI-driven SaaS products.
  • Advance intelligence capabilities using AI and machine learning.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire multiple engineering teams.
  • Champion security and compliance in all product deliveries.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles. You must have a strong background in API-first development, modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and proficiency in languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Typescript. Experience in managing diverse teams, driving change management, and building SaaS products is essential.

  • Experience with large-scale consumer-facing entertainment platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native scaling.

Additional Information
