Summary
You will serve as a Contract Specialist at NAVSUP FLC PUGET SOUND. This role involves managing and negotiating contracts and requires specialized experience at the GS-12 and GS-13 level in federal contracting or equivalent private/public sector experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with technical experts to develop specifications and statements of work.
- Develop acquisition plans and formalize acquisition strategies.
- Plan, coordinate and lead contract negotiation strategies.
- Perform contract administration including incremental funding and cost analysis.
- Collect and evaluate performance, production, and delivery data.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. For GS-13, mastery in contract negotiation, acquisition functions, and management reviews is required. For GS-12, experience with complex contract procurements, pre-award and post-award processes, and cost/price analysis is needed.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must meet the Department of Defense qualification requirements for 1102 contracting positions. Volunteer work experience is also considered for building the necessary competencies.
