The Role: Business Development Advisor

Within our firm, you will be part of the Business Development, Marketing & Communication (BMC) team. In this team, business development advisors, CSR, CRM, and business intelligence experts, event managers, and communication professionals from the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, London, and New York collaborate closely on developing and executing our firm's commercial strategy. You will report to the BMC Director.

About the Work

In this role, you will have an operational and advisory function, working closely with our lawyers, (candidate) notaries, and tax advisors. Your responsibilities include:

  • Drafting pitch documents and preparing for pitch meetings.
  • Preparing account plans with clear objectives for our client and sector teams.
  • Supporting our partners, practice groups, and sector teams in business development and client relationship management.
  • Contributing ideas and advising our lawyers and practice groups on submissions for legal directories (e.g., Chambers and Legal 500).
  • Assisting our lawyers with their external profiling, including blogs and LinkedIn.
  • Conducting analyses of market and sector trends and client information, and using this to advise on commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Measuring, regularly reporting on, and improving the effectiveness of our business development activities using available data.

What We Ask

  • Full-time availability (37.5 hours, part-time (minimum 30 hours) is negotiable).
  • HBO or WO (higher professional education or university) work and thinking level.
  • Between four and seven years of work experience, preferably (partially) in the professional services industry.
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
  • Interest in the use and analysis of data and figures.
  • Strong in presentation and appearance, and highly communicative.
