About the Quality Automation Specialist Role
This role is based in India and requires all normal working days to be carried out in India. As a Quality Automation Specialist, you will undertake and enable automated testing activities across all delivery models. You will support teams in developing high-quality solutions and ensure continuous integration and assurance for defect-free deployment of customer value. This highly collaborative associate-level role offers significant exposure to professional development opportunities by working closely with feature teams and various stakeholders.
What you'll do
You will contribute to transforming testing through advanced quality processes, tools, and methodologies, significantly enhancing control, accuracy, and integrity. Your work will ensure consistent quality is embedded across all phases of the idea-to-value lifecycle, aiming for reduced costs and faster time-to-market. You'll collaborate with colleagues at multiple levels, across cross-domain, domain, platform, and feature teams, integrating quality into every activity.
- Support the design of automation test strategies aligned with business or program goals.
- Action and evolve predictive, intelligent testing approaches utilizing automation and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate on defining the scope for manual and automated testing, creating automated test scripts, user documentation, and artifacts.
- Design and build a low-maintenance suite of stable, reusable automated tests applicable within products, domains, and across end-to-end systems.
- Apply rigorous testing and delivery standards, understanding the product development lifecycle, along with mandatory, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
The skills you'll need
We are seeking an innovative thinker with substantial experience in automated testing, particularly within an Agile development or CI/CD environment. You should be able to identify opportunities, design solutions, and develop complex automation code.
A strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile team is essential, coupled with the ability to connect daily tasks to the strategic vision of the feature. We also require:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in end-to-end and automation testing, using modern tools aligned with enterprise testing frameworks.
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
- Proficiency in Java and C#, with advanced Python knowledge being a distinct advantage.
- Robust testing fundamentals, including test case design, defect management, dashboard creation, and metrics analysis.
- A background in designing, developing, and implementing automation frameworks in new environments.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to management.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
