Job Details

QA Food Quality Technician

Shift: 2-2-3 rotating schedule Days 6am-6pm

SUMMARY

Monitors all quality assurance/food safety activities and makes recommendations and carries out corrections for improving Quality departmental functions. Knowledge of food quality standards and procedures is vital; strong attention to detail, communication skills, and logical thinking are required. Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and evaluates statistical data to ensure quality and reliability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Quality Assurance Management by performing related duties.
  • Contribute to strategic plans, prepare action plans, and implement standards.
  • Perform tests during production for temperature, defects, code dates, etc.
  • Evaluate data, write reports, and recommend modifications to standards.
  • Conduct quality analysis of dry goods, verify specifications, and document key metrics.
  • Maintain calibration logs for laboratory instruments and prepare equipment.
  • Communicate directly with operators and production personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1 year experience in a Quality Assurance or Food Safety role within a manufacturing facility.

LANGUAGE & MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to read/interpret quality documents, write reports, and apply mathematical operations to solve quality related issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Exposure to moving parts and varying noise levels in a production environment. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
