About the Digital Infrastructure Engineer Role
Based in Brussels, Belgium, the Digital Infrastructure Engineer at NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and operation of multiple IT services to remote NATO offices. You will support onsite IT, provide logistic support, assist with cryptographic activities, manage network equipment, and enforce security policies in line with NATO regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite IT support at remote NATO offices.
- Coordinate IT logistics and cryptographic activities.
- Support network devices including Cisco switches and wireless access points.
- Implement and follow up security policies and protocols.
- Manage service-based contracts and evaluate vendor performance.
- Offer on-demand support outside of business hours when required.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 2 years of relevant experience (or 6 years for alternative qualifications), and at least 1 year experience providing IT support in conflict zones. Additional expertise includes supporting end user equipment, Microsoft 365, Cisco technology, and performing cryptographic activities. Excellent communication, analytical skills, and fluency in English are essential.
