This role works on a hybrid schedule, reporting to the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week (Wednesdays & Thursdays).

Role Summary

As the Manager, Software Engineering Product Manager, you will lead the Life Illustration & eApplication space, overseeing people, processes, and a variety of technology solutions supporting the Pre-Sale and Point of Sale journeys. You will manage both in-house systems and third party SaaS solutions with complex vendor integration patterns, including a Progressive Web Application for mobile Illustration capabilities. You will also be responsible for IT asset management and business support applications such as CERTS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement future Life Illustration & eApplication capabilities.
  • Champion DevSecOps automation, SRE practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service providers for quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT organizations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through industry best practices and technology updates.

Qualifications

Candidates should have proven experience in managing software engineering solutions, a strong understanding of DevSecOps and SRE practices, excellent collaboration skills, and vendor management experience. A background in management information systems, engineering, or computer science is preferred along with a minimum of six years in application suite management and leadership experience over multiple teams.
