Overview
National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families. As a Bilingual Case Manager at NYAP, you will manage cases for La Jornada. Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site admission and intake interviews for youth.
- Perform comprehensive case assessments within ORR timeframes.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage case documentation in ORR UC Portal and physical files.
- Facilitate reunification packets and discharge planning.
- Provide regular updates to youth, families, and sponsors.
- Coordinate transportation for appointments and court visits.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling or related field. One year of experience working with youth preferred. Excellent case management, communication, and analytical skills. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and meet auto insurance minimums.
Other Skills & Physical Demands
Must handle flexible hours, on-call periods including weekends and evenings. Involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and prolonged periods of sitting/standing. Occasional travel required for trainings and youth transport.
