Job Description - Sales Associate - Optical
Responsibilities include greeting customers warmly, meeting sales objectives, and maintaining awareness of same day service using the "Ready When Promised" production board. The role involves ensuring timely delivery of quality products, handling customer phone calls as per protocol, and managing customer service complaints effectively. You will also be tasked with tracking order statuses and following up on delays, managing intra-web functions including cancelled jobs and backorders, and replenishing inventory as needed.
- Assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses (when permitted by state law).
- Participate in insertion and removal training of contact lenses under management direction.
- Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
- Adhere to inventory control and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
Previous retail experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, strong customer service, and the ability to present and sell eyeglass features and specialty lenses. A willingness to learn optical knowledge and the ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours is necessary. Teamwork and adherence to store policies are essential.
