Researcher for Lab Development

Position Summary

The Researcher for Lab Development will support a research grant by creating hands-on cybersecurity lab experiences using the Haiku Forge tool. This part-time role (up to 20 hours per week) focuses on technical skill development and educational content creation.

Essential Functions

• Develop lab content aligned with certifications like CompTIA CASP+ and CompTIA Network+.
• Collaborate with learning experience designers to create lesson plans, videos, and other training materials.
• Submit work summaries and progress reports.
• Work with fellow researchers, faculty, and stakeholders on research projects.
• Participate in regular team meetings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical area; experience in online cybersecurity labs and lab creation. CompTIA Security+ is preferred. Must have a personal computer, ability for online collaboration, and be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States.

Competencies & Skills

• Knowledge of DevOps, JSON, and CompTIA Certifications.
• Team collaboration and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to write technical content.

Employment Details

This is a grant-funded, part-time position. Compensation is hourly at $75. Benefits details are available at benefits.nu.edu.
