Summary
The NHL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join the Architecture team. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing scalable platforms for cloud and on-premises environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering & Operations: Build scalable platform solutions, develop Kubernetes clusters, and manage containerized applications.
- Automation & Orchestration: Create automated deployment workflows, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive GitOps adoption.
- Collaboration & Enablement: Work with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to meet platform requirements, and mentor junior engineers.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Build observability frameworks, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance cost efficiency.
Qualifications
Required experience includes 7+ years in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure roles, strong Linux administration, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, IaC using Terraform/Ansible, and familiarity with CI/CD and observability tools. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
