About the Graduate Development Program Associate Analyst Role

Find your superpower with the Graduate Development Program at National Grid. This year-long development opportunity is tailored for recent college graduates who are eager to become future leaders in the energy sector.

Program Overview

Graduates begin with a 3-week in-person Orientation to explore all parts of the company, network with peers, alumni and senior leaders, and travel throughout the northeast US service territory. After Orientation, you will embark on a full-time role with ongoing development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

Role Details

In your initial six-month rotation, you will work as an Associate Analyst focusing on preparing Consolidated US GAAP and regulatory filings (including FERC) and supporting UK IFRS reporting. You will assist with financial statement preparation, verify and reconcile accounts, collaborate with business partners, and monitor key financial metrics.

  • Utilize U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations for disclosures.
  • Review discrepancies and reconcile accounts for data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Regulation and Pricing for variance analysis.
  • Support income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Compile financial information for quarterly and annual statements.
  • Contribute problem-solving ideas to drive efficiency improvements.

What You020ll Need

  • A BachelorFMaster0 degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Graduation between May 2025 and June 2026 with start dates in June or July 2026.
  • Valid driver0 license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Work authorization in the United States without future visa sponsorship.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with SAP is a plus.

Location & Work Arrangement

This hybrid role is based in Brooklyn, New York with one day a week in the office. Applicants must reside within the specified contiguous states in the northeast US.
