Overview
The National Crime Agency (NCA) is seeking an Analyst, Analysis & Insight - JICC Secondee. This role is exclusively for current serving police officers or equivalent police staff. You will work within the Joint International Crime Centre (JICC) Analysis Team, providing both tactical and strategic support for UK and international law enforcement.
Location & Working Arrangements
For roles based in London, your contractual place of work will be Stratford. During the interim period until the Stratford site becomes operational (November 2025 – March 2026), duties may be performed from Vauxhall or another reasonable location. Some roles are also based in Warrington, and location preferences should be indicated at application.
Role Description
You will be a key part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Intelligence, Performance, and Technical Analysts. Your responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and assessing intelligence, data, and information from multiple sources.
- Carrying out structured analysis to support law enforcement objectives.
- Identifying intelligence gaps, patterns, and trends to develop actionable recommendations.
- Producing, presenting, and disseminating analytical outputs for tactical and strategic decision making.
- Delivering briefings and managing sensitive information in line with statutory provisions.
- Building and maintaining domestic and international relationships.
- Supporting internal and external colleagues in adopting efficient new ways of working.
Person Specification & Requirements
Applicants must have formal intelligence analysis training (NIAT, GIAT, NCA Analyst Foundation, or equivalent) along with experience using structured analytical techniques and presenting complex information clearly. This role is a closed competition, available only to current serving police officers or equivalent police staff from a Police Force in England & Wales.
