The NBA’s Direct to Consumer Products, Technology & Operations (DTC PTO) team brings the NBA experience to fans globally through digital products including mobile apps and virtual reality. They deliver live games and exclusive content via NBA League Pass and NBA ID.

Position Summary

The Senior Technical Project Manager, Platform Architecture Delivery Lead is a key leader within the NBA’s DTC organization. In this role, you will be the primary contact for planning and executing back-end platform architecture initiatives, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to deliver projects on time while shaping fan digital engagement across web, mobile, and connected devices.

Major Responsibilities

  • Scrum Team Management: Lead 2–3 scrum teams ensuring capacity, sprint planning, and delivery.
  • Agile Process Leadership: Facilitate agile ceremonies and manage communications via Slack and other channels.
  • Team Roadmapping & Reporting: Develop clear roadmaps; report progress, risks, and performance.
  • Backlog & Scope Ownership: Oversee backlog planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee projects from scoping and QA to launch and post-release support.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure alignment and clear communications with cross-functional teams.

Required Education/Professional Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with minimum 5 years progressive project management experience, including 3 years leading project teams. PMP or Agile certification is preferred.

Salary Range

$140,000 - $165,000 yearly

Additional Information

This remote position requires candidates to comply with NBA COVID-19 vaccination policies for on-site visits in New York and New Jersey offices.
