About the Role

Nasdaq Technology is looking for a DevOps Engineer Specialist - AWS and Java with a focus on DevOps, AWS, Java Programming, and Terraform. Based in the Mumbai technology center in India, this role requires strong technical expertise and collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, automate, and operate infrastructure and software solutions.
  • Monitor, answer support calls, and resolve production issues during US night hours.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure changes.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automate IT operations.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource and mentor on technical issues.

Qualifications

Minimum 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with demonstrated contributions in software development. Proficiency in Java programming, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, containers (Docker and Kubernetes), Linux command line, and Bash scripting is required. Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Kotlin, Python, HTML, React JS, and basic SQL knowledge is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with microservices, RESTful API development, and browser-based user interfaces.
  • Exposure to Spring Boot, Kafka, Maven, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in the financial industry and knowledge of equities trading is an advantage.

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
