Position Overview

Join the NAL Research Corporation team as a Lead Software Test Engineer. In this role, you will validate the performance and reliability of advanced satellite communications equipment and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document test plans, cases, and procedures based on product requirements.
  • Execute both manual and automated tests on satellite communication systems.
  • Create and maintain a suite of automated tests.
  • Utilize databases, debugging tools, fault tracking, and source code control tools.
  • Mentor junior staff and facilitate onboarding of new hires, contractors, and interns.
  • Perform data analysis and statistical evaluations to report trends and root causes.
  • Generate clear test reports with actionable feedback.
  • Collaborate with device, systems, and technical support teams.
  • Ensure compliance with test standards and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in test engineering.
  • Leadership ability for mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Experience with automated test suites, relational databases, and scripting.
  • Strong skills in test plan development, execution, and reporting methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to enhancing product quality using Quality Assurance methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with satellite communications systems is a plus.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10% including international travel.
