Position Overview
Join the NAL Research Corporation team as a Lead Software Test Engineer. In this role, you will validate the performance and reliability of advanced satellite communications equipment and backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document test plans, cases, and procedures based on product requirements.
- Execute both manual and automated tests on satellite communication systems.
- Create and maintain a suite of automated tests.
- Utilize databases, debugging tools, fault tracking, and source code control tools.
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate onboarding of new hires, contractors, and interns.
- Perform data analysis and statistical evaluations to report trends and root causes.
- Generate clear test reports with actionable feedback.
- Collaborate with device, systems, and technical support teams.
- Ensure compliance with test standards and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in test engineering.
- Leadership ability for mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Experience with automated test suites, relational databases, and scripting.
- Strong skills in test plan development, execution, and reporting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to enhancing product quality using Quality Assurance methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with satellite communications systems is a plus.
