Overview
Nakupuna Federal is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) Custom Training Development and Delivery Support Services. The role is advisory, ensuring procurement content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with DoD policies and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support training developers by providing IT procurement subject matter expertise.
- Review procurement training content for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute input on RFIs, RFPs, sourcing practices, and key contract elements.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to integrate real-world procurement considerations.
- Translate complex procurement concepts into clear, accessible content.
- Create supplemental materials like diagrams, FAQs, and guidance resources.
- Monitor changes in regulations to update training content as needed.
- Participate in discussions to ensure best practices in procurement training are reflected.
- Incorporate procurement lifecycle logistics into training materials where applicable.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of IT procurement processes, FAR/DFARS, and DoD acquisition policies.
- Ability to simplify procurement regulations for instructional use.
- Experience with compliance and accuracy in training material development.
- Familiarity with procurement documentation like RFIs, RFPs, contracts, and SLAs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4-7 years relevant experience in IT procurement or federal contracting environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required; no clearance required.
Location & Compensation
This position is primarily based at Nakupuna facilities in Arlington, VA, with occasional support for in-person training events in San Diego, CA or Washington, D.C. The projected compensation range is approximately $115,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually.
