Job Description
Role: Associate Staff Engineer, QA Manual (Salesforce Testing)
Requirements:
- 7+ years total experience
- Strong experience in Salesforce testing and QA manual methodologies
- Hands-on API testing (REST) using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
- Deep understanding of UI testing and cross-browser/platform testing
- Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.)
- Knowledge of Salesforce architecture and ecosystem is desirable
- Experience in database, defect, and mobile testing; test case automation
- Strong grasp of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle
- Proficiency in defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Confluence, Git, Jenkins
- Basic SQL skills for test validations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Understand functional and non-functional requirements and document validations
- Interact with clients to define testing scope, acceptance criteria, and environment
- Prepare test plans, strategies, and schedules for testing activities
- Manage risks by identifying, mitigating, and resolving technical and business issues
- Design and develop automated testing frameworks following project guidelines
- Prepare test reports and communicate quality metrics clearly
- Participate in retrospectives to identify improvements in testing processes
- Conduct demos for internal and external stakeholders
- Review testing artifacts and ensure defect closure
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
