About the Role: Director of Engineering - Enterprise
Your main goal will be to scale and lead n8n’s enterprise and cloud-facing engineering teams. You will drive faster delivery, higher quality, and stronger execution across our enterprise features and n8n.cloud platform by supporting multiple teams and leaders responsible for systems that power enterprise readiness, reliability, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Scale High-Performing Teams: Lead multiple engineering teams, manage Engineering Managers and senior ICs, and build a manager-of-managers structure.
- Drive Delivery, Quality, and Reliability: Improve engineering velocity, code quality, ensure operational excellence, and oversee incident response and production readiness.
- Lead Strategy and Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and GTM teams to deliver impactful enterprise features while aligning with company OKRs.
Requirements
You should have extensive engineering leadership experience in scaling high-growth SaaS environments and a strong technical background. Proven experience with enterprise-grade features like SSO, RBAC, audit logging, and observability is essential, alongside a focus on delivery, quality, and operational excellence. Excellent coaching and communication skills are required.
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is based in Berlin or within ±1 hour of the Berlin time zone. Applicants should choose the location they are most likely to work from in the future as we are hiring remotely across multiple locations.
