Job Description

Chief Growth & Capital Officer at N-21.ai

N-21.ai is an early-stage healthcare AI startup dedicated to building agentic AI-driven managed outcomes platforms for Medicare Advantage and Medicaid. Our core mission is to enhance clinical outcomes, significantly reduce medical costs, and boost operational efficiency for payers and risk-bearing providers. We operate at the dynamic intersection of AI innovation, risk adjustment, value-based care, and managed care economics.

Role Overview

The Chief Growth & Capital Officer (CGCO) at N-21.ai is a pivotal seed-stage, C-level executive role. This individual will be directly responsible for revenue creation, strategic market entry, and early capital formation. This is a highly hands-on growth builder position, encompassing enterprise sales, robust business development, and critical fundraising responsibilities. The CGCO will collaborate closely with the Chairman & CEO to establish compelling commercial credibility, secure foundational 'lighthouse' customers, and strategically prepare the company for a successful Series A funding round.

Core Mandate

  • Personally close the first few enterprise customers, driving significant market traction, sales, and overall company growth.
  • Establish clear commercial proof points and a compelling ROI narrative for our solutions.
  • Shape optimal pricing strategies and innovative outcomes-linked contracting models.
  • Lead critical seed extension or Series A readiness fundraising efforts.
  • Position N-21.ai credibly and attractively with both investors and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Sales Leadership:
  • Lead founder-level enterprise sales targeting MA plans, Medicaid MCOs, risk-bearing providers, MSOs, and other key entities.
  • Successfully convert pilot programs into multi-year platform contracts, establishing and driving Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) models.
  • Design the early Go-To-Market (GTM) motion and define the ideal customer profile.
Business Development & Partnerships:
  • Identify and cultivate early strategic partners and co-sell opportunities.
  • Support strategic entry into priority states and lines of business.
Capital Raise & Investor Engagement:
  • Lead comprehensive seed extension and Series A fundraising efforts.
  • Own and articulate the investor narrative, focusing on outcomes, ROI, and AI leverage.
  • Manage investor meetings, diligence processes, and pitch materials with executive precision.
Executive Leadership:
  • Act as a core and influential member of the executive leadership team.
  • Provide crucial support for board communication and overarching strategic planning.

Success Metrics (First 12–18 Months)

  • Achieve $2–5M ARR with MA / Medicaid customers.
  • Secure 2–4 lighthouse logos.
  • Establish clear outcomes-based ROI proof points.
  • Define a repeatable early GTM motion.
  • Successfully complete or de-risk Series A fundraising.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience:
  • 10+ years of robust experience in healthcare sales, growth, or corporate development.
  • Direct, proven experience selling to MA plans, Medicaid MCOs, or risk-bearing providers.
  • Prior experience within an early-stage healthcare or health-tech startup environment.
  • Exposure to venture fundraising (seed or Series A rounds).
Domain Expertise:
  • Strong, in-depth understanding of MA and Medicaid economics.
  • Familiarity with risk adjustment, quality metrics, utilization management, and value-based care frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex AI and clinical value propositions into compelling CFO-level ROI narratives.
Leadership Traits:
  • Possess a 'player-coach' mentality, ready to both lead and execute hands-on.
  • Comfortable and effective operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit a strong executive presence, capable of engaging confidently with both customers and investors.
  • Outcome-driven and commercially sharp with a keen business acumen.

Compensation & Equity

  • Competitive seed-stage executive base salary.
  • Meaningful equity participation, directly aligned with company growth and success.
  • Performance-linked incentives tied to revenue and fundraising milestones.
