About The Role

Our client, a global leader in advanced technology solutions, is seeking a Director, Government Business Development & Proposals to spearhead expansion into federal, provincial, state, and international government markets. You will lead the full lifecycle of government proposals, build strategic partnerships, and secure funding/contracts that support climate action and space innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a government contracting strategy.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities with agencies (e.g., CSA, ESA, NASA, DoD, ECCC).
  • Lead government proposal writing and management (RFI, RFP, RFQ, grants, tenders).
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with public sector stakeholders.
  • Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontractor partnerships.
  • Provide pipeline analysis and capture strategy updates to leadership.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–10+ years of business development/proposal management in aerospace, defense, cleantech, or government contracting.
  • Proven track record leading winning multi-million-dollar proposals.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (MERX, Buyandsell.gc.ca, SAM.gov, ESA EMITS, NASA NSPIRES).
  • Strong persuasive writing, capture management, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or APMP certification is an asset.
