Role Overview

The Analytics Lead role is central to scaling and optimizing our analytics capabilities. Reporting to the VP of Software, you will lead a high-performing team and serve as both architect and builder of our next-generation data platform, delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Development: Build, optimize, and maintain analytics systems from data ingestion to actionable insights.
  • Data & Algorithm Innovation: Evaluate and integrate new data sources, algorithms, and emerging technologies.
  • Datastore Optimization: Design and refine datastore mechanisms for efficient, scalable data workflows.
  • Product Collaboration: Partner with product teams to align data initiatives with business objectives.
  • Trend Monitoring: Research and integrate new technologies to keep analytics at the industry forefront.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and grow a world-class analytics team with a focus on excellence.
  • Clear Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a developer, engineer, or architect in modern data and geospatial systems.
  • Ability to define and execute a data infrastructure roadmap.
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Strong people leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Executive communication skills for presenting to senior leadership and boards.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Eligibility to obtain security clearance (5+ years living in Canada).
