Overview

GitHub is transforming secure software development. As a Senior Product Security Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing security issues, leading architectural reviews, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and integrating security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex security issues using multiple data sources.
  • Lead large-scale security and architectural reviews.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate security in all phases.
  • Provide expert guidance and risk assessments on security threats.
  • Develop and maintain secure engineering documentation and best practice guidelines.

Qualifications

Required: 7+ years in security analysis/research/engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 1 year in coding or software development. Preferred: Experience in cloud security, modern software development practices, relevant security certifications, and strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range is USD $112,800.00 - USD $299,300.00 per year. Additional benefits include annual bonus, stock rewards, and sales incentives based on role and performance.
