Senior Front-end Developer React JS

About the Role

As a Frontend Engineer specializing in React.js at Capco, you will be at the heart of designing and developing modern, high-performing, and accessible user interfaces for digital solutions with high added value in the banking and insurance sectors. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver quality, robust, and scalable applications.

• Design and develop responsive and performant user interfaces in React.js, respecting accessibility and ergonomics principles.
• Collaborate on defining frontend architecture for projects, in conjunction with Tech Leads and other technical experts.
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure clean management of complex states and interactions.
• Participate in setting up automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and the continuous integration process.
• Be a proactive contributor to technological choices, frameworks, and libraries, and contribute to continuous code improvement.
• Work in an agile environment and collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers, POs, and backend developers.
• Participate in the life of Capco's frontend chapter: workshops, code reviews, technological watch, tech talks, etc.

At Capco, we work with the NextJS 15 stack and therefore ReactJS 19. Our backend developers use Java/SpringBoot. For some clients, we can also offer NestJS. Attention fullstacks! We also welcome React Native developers when responsive web is no longer sufficient for our clients' needs.

Your Profile

Professional Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in frontend development on complex or high user-exposure projects.
• Significant experience with production React.js projects, ideally in a micro-frontend or modular application environment.
• Experience in an agile context with integration into multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Skills

• Advanced mastery of NextJS/ReactJs and its ecosystem (Hooks, React Router, Redux/Zustand/Recoil, Context API...).
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (or modern styling tools like Styled Components, Tailwind, etc.).
• Good practices for managing state, side effects, and component lifecycle.
• Proficiency in frontend automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress...).
• Basic knowledge of accessibility (a11y) principles and UX standards.
• Experience with build tools and CI (Webpack, Vite, GitLab CI/GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of complementary frameworks (Next.js, Vue.js, Angular) is a plus.
